# Earn

Stake synthetics to earn their market's savings rate.

Staking a synthetic earns its market's savings rate. Rewards accrue continuously and are paid out with the stake when you unstake.

## Stake

### Choose what to stake

Open **Earn**. Under **Stake**, choose the synthetic. To start from ADA, choose a route under **Swap first, then stake**, such as **ADA → MIDAS**.

### Enter the amount

Enter the amount to stake, or to swap on a swap-first route. **Rate** shows the savings rate and **Lock** shows how long a new stake is locked.

### Stake

Select the stake button, for example **Stake MIDAS**, and sign the transaction.

A swap-first route takes two transactions. Select the swap button first, for example **Swap ADA for MIDAS**. Once that confirms, select the stake button to stake what the swap minted.

Each new stake is locked for a period the market sets. Rewards start once the lock has passed, and from then on you can unstake at any time.

## Unstake

**Your stakes** lists your stakes by synthetic. Each stake is a separate position and is withdrawn whole.

* **Unstake all** withdraws every stake of that synthetic that has passed its lock.
* To take out part, expand the synthetic's row and select **Unstake** on individual stakes, or enter an amount and the page picks whole stakes to match it.

Unstaking returns the staked synthetic together with its accrued rewards.
