Manage your positions
Adjust, repay and merge your CDPs, and claim leftover collateral.
Your CDPs are on Positions, on the Manage tab. Each one has Adjust and Repay buttons, which also appear on the CDP's own page.
Adjust
Adjusting a CDP changes its collateral, debt or rate cap, and pays the interest it has accrued so far.
Select Adjust on the CDP.
Change the collateral, debt or rate cap.
Check the updated debt, collateral and health factor, then select Adjust Position.
Repay
Repaying reduces the debt of a CDP you own. A partial repayment leaves the CDP open with less debt. A full repayment closes it and returns all of its collateral.
Select Repay on the CDP.
To close it, select Repay all.
To repay part of it, enter the Debt to repay, check You pay, then select Repay.
You pay includes all of the CDP's accrued interest, even when you repay only part of the debt.
On desktop, you can close several CDPs at once: switch to the table layout, select them and choose Repay below the table.
Partial repayment and the rate cap
If the market rate is above your CDP's rate cap, repaying part of the debt also raises the cap to the market rate. The app shows the new cap before you confirm. The CDP then pays the market rate and is no longer redeemable.
Merge
Merging combines several of your CDPs for the same synthetic into one. Their collateral and debt are combined, including any accrued interest, and the merged CDP takes the lowest rate cap among them.
On desktop, switch to the table layout and select at least two CDPs for the same synthetic.
Select Merge below the table.
Check the merged CDP in the transaction review, then submit the transaction.
The original CDPs are closed when the transaction is confirmed, and the merged CDP replaces them.
Claim leftover collateral
If someone redeems or liquidates your CDP in full, the collateral they do not take is set aside for you to claim. Open Portfolio, find Leftover collateral to claim, select Claim and sign the transaction.
